We’re looking for a Business Development Lead

The role

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to generate new business opportunities and extend our client portfolio. You will research and identify prospects, hold consultative discussions with senior managers and convert them into new clients, as well as help accelerate and expand our current assignments. We’re primarily looking to expand our business within SMEs and large enterprises. 

The Business Development Lead will be part of the Sales team and report to the Head of Sales. You will work closely with Offering Area Heads, Sales team colleagues, Team Leads, Specialists and appointed client teams. 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Drive new business across all Nordic Morning’s offerings
  • Be responsible for pitches and lead pitch teams
  • Proactively prospect potential customers and orchestrate discussions with senior executives around their business needs 
  • Conduct negotiations and close deals with commercial and/or public organizations
  • Develop our sales offerings, increasing our relevance to our clients

About you

You are a forward-leaning team member that understands the digital landscape and sees opportunities enabled by competences and platforms. Ideally, you’ve worked in sales before, related to projects in web, martech and communications and have a strong understanding of what's needed to nurture the customer journey. 

You are self-motivated and driven by clear goals, methodical and tenacious, have good communication and social skills and can effectively interact as part of a team. 


  • Business-minded and client-centric, with a can-do attitude, excellent relationship-building skills and a strong track record
  • Experience working in sales or business development at web agency or similar
  • Excellent presentation skills - you love pitching and presenting!
  • Fluent in Swedish and English – any additional languages will be considered an advantage
  • Relevant academic degree
