Marketing Automation Specialist

We’re expanding our team in Helsinki and searching for an experienced Marketing Automation Specialist. Do you want to work with some of the best known brands in the Nordics in a cross competence team that combines SEO, Paid Media, Data & Insights, Data Driven Content and Service Design & Development?

The Position

Our Marketing Automation Specialist is one of the first members of the post sales team to work with new clients. The MA Specialist is responsible for transitioning new clients from the sales process through strategy, implementation and follow-up of their automation programs, whilst reinforcing the Nordic Morning vision of data driven 1-to-1 personalisation.

Using a consultative approach within a Nordic Morning cross-competence team, the MA Specialist will be responsible for working with the client team along with other Nordic Morning team members in the SEO, Paid Media, Data & Insights, Data Driven Content and Development & Service Design. teams to connect the data silos and enable customer centricity across the full scope of digital marketing. 

What you do / Responsibilities: 

  • Work with marketing leadership to develop automation program strategy 
  • Develop and implement end-to-end journey and omnichannel life cycle programs, including campaign planning and design, list management, campaign health monitoring and post-campaign analysis
  • Develop and communicate a holistic view across channel initiatives to ensure campaigns work together as part of a cohesive strategy across the funnel
  • Develop, build, launch and maintain marketing automation programs, including audience segmentation, lead qualification and lead nurturing
  • Work with sales enablement teams to support automated sales workflows
  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration into marketing automation platform
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure effective execution of inbound lead generation tactics, including paid search, content syndication, display, remarketing, etc.
  • Use digital metrics (e.g. site traffic, visitor paths, conversion rates) to optimize online marketing spend
  • Test and optimize the performance of emails, landing pages, creative, and content
  • Collaborate with your NM team to find the best mix of inbound and outbound tactics
  • Serve as the evangelist for testing and optimization, championing data-driven risk taking by inbound marketers


  • 3 years minimum experience in a client facing role
  • Understanding of data structures (relational and flat)
  • Excellent knowledge and use of web technologies (HTML/JavaScript/CSS)  
  • Knowledge of Saas technologies, distributed computing concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent in English and Finnish fluency a must
  • Experience setting up and running marketing automation programs / processes for different audiences/target groups

Nice to have

  • Project Management experience 
  • Knowledge and experience with leading marketing automation platforms 
  • Experience with other front end campaign optimization & testing tools (Google Optimize, Omniconvert, etc)
  • Experience in tag management (e.g. Google Tag Manager)
  • Experience in web Analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Data Studio)
  • Content management systems
  • Paid media, SEO experience
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management and marketing automation connection to other marketing efforts such as paid search, display and video.

Note: You need to live in the Nordics in order to be considered for this position.
