Business Controller

We are now looking for an experienced Business Controller to cover for a parental leave, starting in March 2020 to August 2021. This is an interim position and we welcome applicants who want a temporary employment or working as consultants. The role

As a Business Controller you will have a senior role and act as a proactive management partner for business. You will be providing high quality Business Control service for Nordic Morning Sweden, both at strategic and operational level. You are able to challenge the business in a constructive way by providing insights and recommendations and making initiatives to develop the processes and ways of working. As a Business Controller you will be a member of the management team, but the role also requires hands-on attitude. Leading and participating in various development projects and initiatives is a vital part of the role. Getting things done and working with a pragmatic approach is a key success factor for the Business Controller. 

You will work closely with Financial Controller in Stockholm  and report directly to the CFO of Nordic Morning Group. Both Business Controller and Financial Controller work in cooperation with the with the Accounting Shared Service center placed in the Helsinki. 

Main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Providing high quality regular and ad hoc / case specific management reporting and analysis explaining the business changes behind the figures e.g. changes in profitability, working capital and cash flow 
  • Reporting to the Nordic Morning Group in the above mentioned scope
  • Ensuring that the essential business KPIs are in place and continuously followed-up
  • Ensuring relevant reporting structures relating to business needs e.g. customers and other required dimensions 
  • Driving local business planning (budgeting, forecasting) processes, ensuring quality at local level and towards the Nordic Morning Group
  • Participating in different local and Group level developments projects and/or leading them
  • Working continuously for enhancing different company processes and ways to drive efficiency and growth
  • Cooperation and alignment with Nordic Morning Group, its policies and processes
  • Key user of the new ERP system (SAP BusinessByDesign): ensure the preparations and successful go-live according to project management’s guidance 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s / Master´s Degree in Business Economics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Typically a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent command of different systems and tools including MS Office
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience from professional service sector / project controlling is an advantage
  • Fluent in Swedish and English. Please apply with an English CV.
